Honoura Hawke

Age: late 20s
Nameday: 28th Sun of the 1st Umbral Moon
Nationality: Gridanian / Limsa Lominsan
Occupation: Maelstrom Sergeant

Leaving the desecrated boughs of the Twelveswood after the Calamity, Honoura made for Limsa Lominsa and made the logical decision of joining the military. Life has only decided to test her mettle since then, really. She feels no recourse but to face it head on.After a few rocky months, she found purchase and place within the ranks of the Maelstrom. It is a place she has clung to and climbed rung by splintery rung ever since.Spiteful and judging at her worst, at her best Honoura tries to temper those tendencies with loyalty and a kindness that seeks to support without being cloying. While she's not short on care for others, she is at times unconventional or fumbling with how she expresses it. She is no stranger to apologies.

A Small Strong Back: Members of the Ala Mhigan Resistance may recognize a petite Maelstrom officer during the liberation of Gyr Abania and in the trenches of the Ghimlyt Dark.By the Sea: Natives of Limsa Lominsa may recall a time when she spoke with a very thick Shroud accent, barely a year post-Calamity. As of the last turn or so, she's spent considerable time with the Marauder's Guild.A Helping Hand: Doman residents may recall a Maelstrom squadron who aided with reconstruction efforts, assisting with the laborious task of cleaning the wreckage of Castrum Fluminis.Out of the Woods: South Shroud natives might recall the name Hawke belonging to a large family that lived scattered in the woods. There's still a large number of them living in the swamps around Rootslake -- a few serve at Stillglade Fane as conjurers.Informally, Unnaturally Educated: While not schooled officially in magic, seems familiar enough with concepts or enchanted items to grasp concepts. She does not seem to have any enthusiastic fascination with them, however.

Aidan Hawke

Age: late 20s
Nameday: 1st Sun of the 6th Astral Moon
Nationality: Gridanian / Limsa Lominsan
Occupation: Adventurer, Day Laborer, Apprentice Goldsmith

If he had a gil for every major disaster he's lived through, Aidan would have 4 gil. Which isn't much, but it's weird he's dealt with this four times.Time and fate's machinations have taken the midlander far and wide across Eorzea and beyond. Indeed, he seems less at home in Eorzea than elsewhere. At present he finds himself learning the shifting sands of the Sagolii and the rest of Thanalan.Equal parts gregarious and reserved, which side is shown to an individual first depends on the individual. While he remains physically removed from battle, it clearly has never fully left him.

Expatriate: You were originally from Kugane and recall an Eorzean adventurer working various odd jobs around the city. He seemed to have been living there at the time, with very little possessions save the bare essentials to his name. The Calamity: Cartenau veterans from the Twin Adders may recognize a young Serpent by the name Hawke. He was a green private who grew up in the southern area of the Twelveswood, typically known as a bit of a prankster.Haunted: Aidan isn't a fan of loud explosions or uncontrolled fire. He's gotten better about freezing up, but his general go-to means to cope is to dissociate.Out of the Woods: South Shroud natives may remember the name Hawke, recalling a large family that lived scattered within the woods. There's still a large number of them living in the swamps around Rootslake -- a few serve at Stillglade Fane as conjurers.Salvage Operation: You put out a call for someone to help scavenge abandoned Garlean castellums and castrums. Aidan is rather experienced, navigating the layouts with ease and having practice salvaging the parts typically difficult to find.

Unna Nabaath

Age: 45
Nameday: 7th Sun of the 4th Astral Moon
Nationality: Dalmascan
Occupation: Adventurer, Day Laborer, Security Detail

Born in Rabanastre, Unna was a teenager when the Garleans took Nalbina Fortress and then the rest of her country shortly thereafter. The urge to protect and preserve what of her people and her culture was born early. As soon as she and her younger sister Mjara were able, both joined the resistance efforts. While never one to shy from the melee, mounting deaths and dwindling numbers reframed the fight for survival. A small orphanage opened in Lowtown, and if Dalmasca was to have a future, they needed care.Prior to her departure, Unna had taken to documenting survivors' family histories prior to Imperial occupation. Traditions, family recipes, home remedies, anything someone could recall of their (and Dalmasca's) history.

Expatriate: You're a fellow native of Dalmasca, relocated to Eorzea for one reason or another. Residents of Rabanastre may recall seeing Unna and her younger sister Mjara regularly in and around Lowtown. Their mother ran a pottery shop, inherited from their grandmother, known throughout the city for its handcrafted wares.Lowtown Orphanage: Home to a dozen or so children of all ages made orphaned and homeless by occupation, retribution, or the city's razing. What began as a small act of compassion grew to a community effort to see that one of Rabanastre's poorer districts lives on even after the city above was gone. Unna helped keep the children fed, sang lullabies to ward off nightmares, and taught basic self-defense. But with money scarce and the eastern and western alliances still largely unwilling to intercede or offer aid, it fell to the sisters to seek resources and support on their own.New to Eorzea: Unna is very frank about being largely unfamiliar with Eorzea and very agreeable to haggling for help with that. After conferring with her uncle Jamil and other members of her resistance group, it was decided she leave to secure coin and connections to fund Dalmasca's recovery.

Ruruna Runa

Age: 34
Nameday: 12th Sun of the 6th Umbral Moon
Nationality: Cieldalaean
Occupation: Melvaan's Gate assessor, linguist, Guild fisher

Born in the sunny Cieldalaes, Ruruna is the third of six children. She has competed with the other five ever since she could speak. Growing up in the southern islands, Ruruna came to Limsa Lominsa with her eldest sibling Gani Isagani two years pre-Calamity.While Gani sought work in Moraby Bay's drydocks to learn Lominsan ship construction, Ruruna turned to Melvaan's Gate to learn how trade works in Eorzea. Their endgoal is to one day start a trading company of their own, to give wealth and legacy to their family. And perhaps to also stave off foreigners from buying up any more of the Cieldalaes.Viciously brilliant and with the determination to match, the assessor has a reputation for handling the most difficult clients with gusto. While it'd be easy to mistake such vivacity for spite, the lalafell is equally tender and softhearted with those she decides need it.

Melvaan's Menace: Merchants and caravan workers know having Ruruna in charge of their goods is both blessing and curse. She will keep fastidious track of your cargo down to the onze. She will also make you pay the fees that entails. She cannot be bribed to do otherwise. However, she will also make sure you are compensated fairly.Island Home: Ruruna hails from the Cieldalaes, and is always eager to share it with others. Despite living on 'the mainland' for almost a decade, they're never far from her mind or heart.Never Shy About Competition: Along with her love of fierce debate over contraband, Ruruna loves games. Feats of strength are her particular favorite. She'd also never shy away from a drinking competition.Artisan's Advocate: The lalafell appreciates hard work, and the simple fact craftmakers have to make a living like everyone else. She will cheerily offer her services to help a business grow -- whether it's through networking, searching for new materials to expand a business, or simply preparing the paperwork no one else wishes to do.

Mahir Sal Ghidos

Age: 180
Nameday: 1st Sun of the 5th Astral Moon
Nationality: Dalmascan
Occupation: Book illuminator, printer, illustrator, photographer

Mahir was born near two centuries ago in Dalmasca, in the village of Sal Ghidos. An enthusiastic learner from a young age, it was a visiting scholar who encouraged him to apply to study in Sharlayan at the still young age of seventy-five.After spending more decades there mired in academic squabbles than he'd care to count, he made plans to relocate back to Dalmasca. Plans that were derailed by Garlemald's sacking of Nalbina Fortress and its occupation of the country thereafter. He shortly after opted to leave for Eorzea instead. He's been in Ul'dah ever since, offering his artistic efforts to the upper class of the city, and another set to another group he's found common ground with.

Expatriate: Particularly partial to fellow Dalmascans, Mahir tends to be amicable to anyone else forced from their place of origin. Sharlayans however, he will inevitably react with thinly-veiled hostility.Patron of the Arts: Are you wealthy? Do you have an appreciation for fine crafts? Maybe you've commissioned him before, or his work was recommended to you. While his forte is bookmaking, right down to the binding, his other passion is photography. He has been known to take portrait commissions for the right price. For Ala Mhigo: Perhaps out of a sense of solidarity, Mahir's name is known among many Ala Mhigans as a supplier of goods and resources to the Resistance during the occupation. A small handful know his skill making non-toxic inks and papers, allowing Resistance members to dispose of incriminating evidence easily.Grace of the Gods: The viera has long been a diligent transcriber of religious texts, first and foremost. He has crafted a number of illuminated manuscripts, and still loves to appraise any brought to him.
